May 22 Outdoor photo shoot session - DesaruA very fun and lovely day...
great weather... great scenery.... great bunch of people.... lots of laughter...
lots of experience... Thanks to Eric (the funny photographer) and Ah Zheng (the helpful assistant)..... Of course my wonderful husband-to-be Steve, who is there to share the moments..   October 15 04.10.08 is The DayFinally, we have got a few dates for our wedding day.... We liked 18.10.08, as asian Chinese thought it sounds and looks auspicious....
Went to a few places:
Orchid Country Club - the foyer area is not available unless we use the ballroom
Hilltop Bukit Batok - initially find it quite alright, but there will be another couple has occupied 3/4 of the restaurant. Parking space will be a problem. Furthermore, we overheard an auntie talking to her friend in the lift, commenting that the food sucks....
Raffles Country Club - we like the place as it overseas the golfcourse and "lake"....nice view in the afternoon...but if we are having wedding dinner...actually there is nothing much we can see....also it's a bit out of the place...
Raffles Marina - it's located just right beside the checkpoint.....a very nice place where yachts are docked there....again it is very out of the place...
Peony-Jade - we liked the place and ambience, so far the best we find...but 18.10.08 has already been taken....
Novotel Clark Quay - the food is cater from Tung Lok group, thought it will be nice....only managed to get brochures on the wedding packages available, passed by a wedding lunch at one of the funtion room, hmmmm....not very attractive....
Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant @ UOB Plaza - on 60th floor of UOB Plaza, get a very good view of entire singapore, price on a high side for restaurant...but layout is a bit off....they can accomodate up to 20 tables, but some of the tables will be in the VIP rooms which cannot be opened up....odd for a wedding funtions...
We liked Peony-Jade as it is classy and cosy, with nice food (read from the review) also have a nice view across Clark Quay at night, location is convenient.....I think it is suitable for us as we do not have many tables to secure for a ballroom type of banquet....well as popular as the 18.10.08 is....we can't get venue we like for that day....so, we compromise the date for the venue we want.....now we decided to have our big day on 04.10.08.....
At least we have settled one of the big items in our to-do list.....next headache items would be guest list.....
 Taken some nice pictures while scouting around for wedding venue along Clark Quay area....
July 02 When are you getting married?This has been a frequent question that pop up recently from my friends and my brother....ever since they know the existence of my boyfriend - Steve.....
I think they are trying to tell me....I am not young anymore....it's time to settle down....
To be honest, when is the right time? I have no idea....
Am I ready? Well, I guess I am....
Is he ready? I am not sure....
How do I know when is he ready? I do not have the answer really....
To me, it is very simple...when it's time for things to happen, it will happen....
So my fellow friends and brother.......stop asking me that question...

June 29 Pot luck Gathering...23.06.07How often do we do that?? Usually once a year....during CNY...
If not for Lee Yoong is leaving for Melbourne...we would not have one....It nice to have chance to catch up with old classmates.....
As most of them are married with kids....the topics that were discussed were around the kids, where to get the cheapest diapers....how do they cope with kids.....
It was really great to have kept in touch with school friends....and it's hard....I believe we all will cherish the friendships forever...
